Our history

From small start-up to major player

The story of B&P Products goes back more than 30 years to then-managing director Rik Gielen. After years of management experience, Rik started a plastic processing company for pressing plastic products.

After initially investing in four plastic pressing machines, he later added two injection moulding machines to the workshop. All with a view to expanding their business in thermosets.

A new phase

Rapid growth and workshop expansion

In the years that followed, the company experienced good growth. By 2000, the business had outgrown its premises and Rik and his team moved to a larger workshop in Overpelt, Limburg.

In 2004, Rik’s son Bert Gielen also joined the company and completely took over from his father in 2020.

Rik and Bert continued to make huge investments in additional storage capacity and new machinery in recent years. Quality and personal service are key in everything they make.

You can come to them for your small and large series production needs. They act quickly and can manufacture your item in a short period of time. Thanks to their extensive expertise and technical knowledge of materials and equipment, they can provide you with fully customised advice.

Today, the company supplies plastic products to many regular customers. We manufacture parts for the aviation, railway, mechanical engineering and electrical industries and increasingly for the design sector, which likes to work with the Bakelite thermoset.

With B&P Products, managing director Bert intends to remain optimally committed to sustainable growth. To add to his knowledge of this topic, he is currently taking the Sustainable Entrepreneurship course at Voka. He’s also actively pursuing opportunities for recycling their raw materials and waste. Did you know that thermosets are recyclable?

What motivates them the most? Providing your company with the best possible advice and guidance on the development and manufacture of thermoset components.
